Reyy EV — Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data the Reyy EV driver application (package in.reyyev.driver) collects, why we collect it, and how it is used. It applies to drivers who rent a vehicle from Reyy EV and use the app for the duration of their rental.

Information we collect

• Location (including in the background).While you have an active rental, the app collects your device’s precise GPS location — including when the app is closed or not in use — so our operations team can track the rented vehicle. Collection stops when your rental ends.
• Contacts. With your permission, the app reads your contact list once to help us verify and support your rental. Contacts are uploaded securely to Reyy EV.
• Device push token & battery level. We store a Firebase Cloud Messaging token so we can send you rental-related notifications and prompt your device to report its location. Battery level is sent with location so operations can spot a phone that is about to die.
• Account details. Your phone number and the rental information associated with your account.

How we use it

• Tracking the rented vehicle for fleet operations and safety.
• Verifying and supporting your rental.
• Sending rental reminders and operational notifications.

We do not sell your data, share it with third parties for their own use, or use it for advertising.

Storage, retention & security

Data is stored in Amazon Web Services (Mumbai, India region) using access-controlled DynamoDB and S3. Location is stored as your latest position plus a short (3-day) rolling history that auto-expires; all location data is removed when your rental closes. Data is transmitted over HTTPS and access is restricted to authorised Reyy EV operators.

Your choices

You may revoke location or contacts permission at any time in your device settings; note that revoking location prevents the app from performing its core fleet-tracking function during an active rental. To request deletion of your data, contact us below.
